Class Time: Monday to Friday from 9am - 4pm. with additional time for regattas, travel and 420 Race Night. Meet on the side lawn under the tent.
420 High Performance Racing Clinic: Jun 25 - June 28, $275.00.
It is strongly suggested that a sailor take part in the entire session in order to contribute and be part of the team atmosphere. Please consult the Junior Racing Calendar for details on dates of away regattas and other planned events.
Cost: $800.00 per Session (non-members add 20%) with additional fees for away regattas. Taxes are extra for children 14yrs + (2 week fee is $425.00)
Ages: 15 - 16 yrs and have completed Bronze 5
July Session: July 2, 2012 - July 27, 2012: this session is now half full as of Jan 10/12
August Session: July 30 - Aug 24 2012, Club Championship Week, Aug 20-24th
Away regattas will require Parent Volunteers
The 420 Silver/Gold program uses 420 sailboats. Silver and Gold racing levels are worked on but are not the primary focus. Sailors participate in at least one away regatta and several at home regattas. Developing tactical, technical and theoretical understanding of the 420, weather, sails, race course and much more is covered throughout the session. Each level can take longer than one summer to complete and require a sailor to be committed to the program and the team. Registered sailors should contact Dayna in the spring for more details on the program at junioractivities@buffalocc.on.ca.
NEXT STEP: Continue racing in 420 or carry on to the Lightning Junior Team.
